Cereal Mascot

We were assigned a classmate to create a cereal mascot that attracts their interests and so they are our primary consumers. We had to fill out a partner questionnaire and collect lots of info about their interests, then make a mood board to base our characters off of. Jack’s (my assigned classmate's) favorite animal is a golden retriever and he likes to skate, so I took those and ran with it! I used the skate park theme and incorporated spray paint in a lot of places, which I really enjoyed. I had a lot of fun creating Ollie and his cereal brand. It was super awesome to practice creating the same character in a bunch of different positions to work on the consistency in each drawing. I also liked incorporating the physical brick background and paper mounts with my digital drawings, and I think it came out well. I really liked making this character and really fleshing him out as a person, which made it easier to make my layout and designs! We also focused a lot on the importance of layouts, which I think went well and was very helpful.
